Nurses Thank You Luncheon
National Nurses Month is celebrated throughout the month of May. Specifically, National Nurses Week is celebrated from May 6-12. This is a time to recognize and appreciate the work of our nurses, who form the very heartbeat of our organization.
From our preschool to our group homes and day programs, their dedication, compassion, and expertise are truly invaluable, making a profound difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.
At Jawonio, our nurses do more than provide care – they bring comfort, safety and dignity to every life they touch.
Compassionate Care & Expertise: Our nurses have an intuitive and genuine sense of caring coupled with a wealth of knowledge to manage complex medical needs. Offering comfort with confidence during times of vulnerability, they collaborate with staff to ensure that our children and adults feel safe and cared for.
Health and Wellness Advocates: Beyond immediate medical needs, our nurses are proactive advocates for health and wellness. We are grateful for their consistent healthcare education for our staff and individuals. They share programs for healthy habits, and work tirelessly to prevent illness and promote overall well-being across all our programs.
Supportive Communicators: Our nurses are crucial links between individuals, their families, direct support professionals, educators, and medical providers in both our Day Services and Residential Programs. They advocate for the needs of those we serve with a collaborative approach to care. And, in our preschool, they partner with teachers and families to support the unique health needs of each child.
Comfort and Guidance: Their calm demeanor provide reassurance and guidance to both the individuals we support and our dedicated staff. They are a constant source of strength, helping navigate medical challenges each and every day.
Think about the comfort a parent feels knowing a skilled nurse is attending to their child’s medical needs at our preschool. Consider the peace of mind of an individual in one of our group homes, knowing they have consistent and reliable healthcare support. Imagine the impact of empowering individuals to live healthier and more fulfilling lives. Our nurses are at the center of all of this, making these positive outcomes a reality every single day.
This Nurses Month, we want to shine a bright light on the incredible contributions of our nursing team. Their commitment goes far beyond the clinical tasks; it’s about building trust, fostering independence, and enriching the lives of the individuals we are privileged to serve.
Thank you for your unwavering dedication, your compassionate hearts, and your exceptional skills. You raise the bar for your compassionate care everyday, and we are deeply grateful for everything you do.
