Mental Wellness Social Club

Drop-In Centers  are a non-clinical, referral-based drop-in social program designed to support adults living with varying degrees of mental health diagnosis who are currently in a stable phase of their recovery.
This welcoming space offers opportunities for social engagement, creative expression, skill-building, and personal development — all in a safe and stigma-free environment.

Eligibility

Participation is by referral only. This program serves:

  • Adults (18+) who have been referred by a healthcare provider, case manager, or mental health professional.

  • Individuals who are experiencing or have experienced mental health challenges but are currently stable and not in acute crisis.

  • Those seeking social connection, structured support, and access to wellness resources in a relaxed, peer-focused setting.

Program Goals

  • Promote social connectedness to reduce isolation and loneliness.

  • Encourage routine and structure through weekly engagement.

  • Provide low-pressure, meaningful activities to build confidence and promote wellness.

  • Foster a sense of belonging and community.

Key Features

  • Peer Support & Connection: Build friendships and share experiences with others on similar wellness journeys.

  • Creative Arts & Expression: Art therapy-inspired projects, music sessions, journaling, and more.

  • Relaxed Social Environment: Coffee/tea socials, game days, and themed conversation circles.

  • Wellness Workshops: Topics may include coping skills, emotional regulation, mindfulness, and healthy communication.

  • Resource Sharing: Information on community services, supports, and referrals for additional help.

  • Skill-Building Activities: Life skills, hobby exploration, budgeting basics, and group projects.

  • Wellness Practices: Light movement, guided meditation, breathing techniques, and stress relief sessions.

Schedule

  • Open Hours: 4-5 days per week (set days/times may vary)

  • Drop-in Format: No registration required for each visit once referred and enrolled.

  • Participants are encouraged to attend regularly to maximize the benefits of social engagement and continuity.

How to Access

  • Professionals (e.g., therapists, social workers, case managers) recommend and refer.

  • Brief intake meetings are conducted to ensure program fit.

  • Participants must be stable and able to engage in a group setting without clinical supervision.

This is a judgment-free space rooted in compassion, dignity, and mutual respect.

Participation is voluntary and based on individual comfort levels.

Appropriate referrals will be provided if needed.
