“...our community understands that this outing is about far more than golf."

Golf Outing

We know what you’re thinking:

Will Scottie Scheffler be there? Rory McIlroy? Maybe Nelly Korda?

While we can’t promise a Masters champion, a PGA superstar, or the No. 1 Golfer in the world will be joining us on the course this year we can promise something even more meaningful a day filled with community, generosity, laughter, and purpose.

And apparently, that combination is pretty powerful because before the first golf ball was even teed up, the Jawonio Golf Outing officially sold out.

There’s something special about a day on the golf course.

It’s not just the competition, the camaraderie, or the occasional miracle putt. It’s the conversations between colleagues, the laughter shared between friends, the business connections formed between holes, and the opportunity to step away from busy schedules and spend time outdoors together.

Now imagine all of that — with purpose.

That is why for almost 40 years, people continue to support the Jawonio Golf Outing year after year and once again this year at the fabulous Paramount Country Club in New City, NY.

Why? Because our community understands that this outing is about far more than golf.

Golf for a cause means every drive, every putt, every sponsorship, and every foursome directly support programs and services that change lives for children and adults with developmental disabilities, autism, mental health challenges, and chronic medical needs throughout our community.

At Jawonio, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, independence, and belonging. The funds raised through our Golf Outing help support critical services including special education, therapies, residential supports, community living programs, workforce development, mental health services, and so much more.

For many participants, the outing has become a tradition one rooted in giving back. It’s a chance for companies, community leaders, families, and friends to come together around a shared mission while enjoying one of the region’s premier golf experiences.

There’s also something uniquely symbolic about golf itself.

Golf teaches patience, perseverance, focus, and resilience. It reminds us that progress is rarely perfect, but every step forward matters. Those same values are reflected every single day in the lives of the people Jawonio supports and in the dedication of the staff, families, caregivers, and advocates who stand beside them.

This event is proof that philanthropy does not always happen in a ballroom. Sometimes it happens on the fairway. Sometimes it happens during a handshake at the 9th hole or conversation at dinner and after the final scorecard is turned in.

And while the outing may be sold out, the impact continues long after the last golfer leaves the course.

To our amazing Jawonio Foundation Team and our 2026 Golf Committee members, to every golfer, sponsor, donor, volunteer, and supporter: thank you. Your participation is helping create opportunities, expand inclusion, and strengthen the future for thousands of people throughout our community.

That’s the power of golf for a cause. And that’s why this event matters.
