Rally in the Valley: New York State is United for Human Rights
Rally in the Valley isn’t just an event. it’s a movement. Hosted by Jawonio and the Hudson Valley Service Providers that includes almost 40 partner agencies. It will be where statewide advocates and community comes together to stand up for what’s right urging our elected officials to do the right thing on both the Federal and State levels.
Disability rights. Mental health care. Early childhood education services. Care management. Therapeutic interventions. Fair pay for the workforce who make it all possible. These aren’t just issues and services – they’re human rights.
Honoring the Workforce
This sector thrives because of a passionate, mission-driven workforce — truly underpaid but never under-committed. They show up every day to provide vital services:
• Supporting people in group homes with dignity and independence
• Leading day programs that build skills, connection, and purpose
• Providing counseling and mental health supports
• Early intervention and and special education teachers in classrooms who change lives
• Delivering physical, occupational, and speech — therapies to strengthen communication, mobility, and independence
• Coaching individuals to gain job skills and enter the workforce
• Helping community members access the resources they need to thrive
These essential services keep our communities strong, and these heroes deserve recognition, respect, and real investment.
Why You Should Attend
When thousands of voices unite, decision-makers listen. When families, workers, and neighbors stand together, change happens. This rally is about protecting services, strengthening the workforce, and building sustainable systems that serve generations.
It will be inspiring. It will be energizing. And it will remind us that when we show up as a community, we are unstoppable.

The Power of Community
Real CHANGE requires collective action.
When parents stand beside providers.
When business leaders stand beside advocates.
When neighbors stand beside neighbors.
That is when movements grow.
Whether you are directly connected to this work or simply believe in human dignity, we invite you to raise your voice.
