Jawonio is delighted to salute DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown in Westchester County New York at its 2019 Harvest Brunch!
DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown has been one of our most committed partners for over eleven years. Under the leadership of Kevin Johnson, General Manager, they have gone above and beyond providing meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Twelve individuals from our Community Employment Services program have been working at the hotel since 2008.
The mission of DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown includes its culture of C.A.R.E. which stands for: Caring, Attentive, Responsive, and Empowered. This concept is visible on both staff and guests of the hotel each day. They continue to accommodate all employees by creating an integrated and supportive workplace. Being a part of the DoubleTree by Hildton Tarrytown team has given workers the skills and confidence to acheive independence and continued success. They see the strengths and talents in each individual and help them to achieve their highest potential.
Jawonio workers are so proud to be part of this wonderful organization where equal opportunity is so highly valued. We are grateful to Kevin Johnson and his staff for their tremendous commitment to inclusion and equality to people with special needs.
In October of 2013, DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown was named Employer of the Year by the NYS Cerebral Palsy Associations and recognized by the US Department of Labor during National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
The strong leadership and committment of Kevin Johnson and his team make DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown truly a model employer for the community! Congratulations on receiving this tremendous honor!
