About
Janitorial Boot Camp is a free training program offered through OPWDD’s Career
Specific Vocational Training initiative that will teach individuals the skills necessary
to work in the always needed field of custodial services.
What You Will Learn
• Professional cleaning techniques & protocols.
• Bathroom & surface sanitization.
• Efficient time management for cleaning tasks.
• Safe & effective use of cleaning chemicals.
• Mastery of cleaning tools & equipment.
Who Qualifies
• At least 18 years old.
• OPWDD Eligible.
• Interested in pursuing a career in janitorial or custodial service.
• Ready to obtain competitive, integrated employment.
Training Details
80 hours of classroom instruction + 30 hours of hands-on cleaning experience.
Located at Jawonio Rockland or Jawonio Yonkers
