Retail Boot Camp

About Jawonio Retail Boot Camp

The Jawonio Retail Boot Camp is designed to prepare individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD) for career pathways in the retail industry.

Benefits

  • Develop marketable skills for the retail industry
  • Get hands on experience
  • Learn about cashiering, customer service, teamwork, cleaning, communication, stocking/inventory, loss prevention

Eligibility

  • Participants must be OPWDD Eligible & unemployed

Training Sessions
(75 hours)

  • Three 2 ½ hours classroom sessions per week for 10 weeks
  • Classes will be offered in both Rockland and Westchester Counties
  • A minimum of 25 hours of hands-on work experience at local retail stores
