About Jawonio Retail Boot Camp

Retail Boot Camp is a program designed to develop hard skills for employment in the retail field. You will learn the skills necessary to pursue your career!

Benefits

Retail continues to be a growing & stable field. You will learn marketable skills and gain hands-on experience. If you love retail, you will have opportunities to learn about cashiering, customer service, teamwork, cleaning, stocking shelves, inventory and so much more. 

Eligibility

You must be OPWDD eligible, unemployed and have a desire to work in retail. 

Training Sessions
(75 hours)

  • Three 2 ½ hours classroom sessions per week for 10 weeks

  • Classes will be offered in the Lower Hudson Valley

  • A minimum of 25 hours of hands-on work experience at local retail stores

The Jawonio Retail Boot Camp is designed to prepare individuals with Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities (IDD) for career pathways in the retail industry.
