A Message From Jill
Welcome to the Fall!
We had so much to celebrate this summer. At the end of June, we held our annual Film Benefit to support our Early Childhood Education program. The annual Summer Education Program show celebrated the end of a successful summer season. This year the children had the chance to perform at the Rockland Boulders stadium which generously provided us with ample space for the children to sing, dance and share their joy with their families. The Rockland Boulders and Active International also hosted their Annual Charity Challenge event in August with the Jawonio PROS Program as the recipient. And last but never least, the Hometown Heroes held a very successful Bowlathon, Co-Chaired by the Honorable Lon Hofstein and Sheriff Lou Falco and raised over $22,000 in support of the Hometown Heroes’ Summer Education Cabin!
It’s an exciting time for Jawonio as we continue with our campus redevelopment project and Capital Campaign, which has successfully raised $6 Million dollars! With $4 Million more to go to make our goal, it is critically important, now more than ever, that you continue to stay engaged, and consider making a gift to help us reach the final phase. You can help Jawonio achieve its goal of building a bright future for people with special needs and their families for generations to come.

I know that by working together, we will build a new and beautiful campus. We will create an environment where innovation is an everyday occurrence, and thousands of children and adults with special needs will be empowered to live a life beyond their wildest dreams.
