Preschool School Day Respite
Preschool children, ages 3-5 who are eligible for OPWDD respite services can receive on-site respite services before or after attending their special education program. The program is in operation from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. Generally, the number of respite hours range between 1 and 3 hours daily.

Jawonio School Age Care (JSAC)
JSAC is an after school care program for children with disabilities ages 5 through 11. It is open Monday through Friday on school days only from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with early arrival available at 2:30 pm.
Rates: $5.00 per hour
*FREE for children who have OPWDD approval for hourly respite.

Saturday Respite

Held one Saturday a month in our state of the art facility, this five hour program is for children ages 3 to 12. The program runs from 10:00-3:00 and includes outdoor play, small group and individual activities and crafts in a safe, nurturing environment led by experienced staff. This is an integrated program for typically developing and disabled children. There is no fee for OPWDD respite approved children. A sliding scale fee is in place for others.

Saturday Autism Respite

Designed to meet the needs of children diagnosed with autism, ages 3 to 7. Classes are small, with a maximum of 6 children grouped by age and developmental level. The program runs 3 Saturdays a month, from 9:30 am-1:30 pm and includes creative, social activities that help children with ASDs better develop coping and interactive skills with others. Attendees will be rotated through program on a schedule of 2 consecutive Saturdays a month, allowing for a higher level of consistency and familiarity. This program also runs simultaneously with Vacation Respite.
*Children must be OPWDD eligible to attend this program.

School Vacation Respite

A lovely recreational program awaits your child during the winter and spring school breaks (subject to scheduling). Available for typical developing and disabled children ages 5 (kdg.) to 12, the program includes music, art, group activities, outdoor play (weather permitting). This program provides working parents with a safe, nurturing environment for their children during the school vacation. As scheduling allows, the program runs for 5 days, from 9:00 am- 3:00 pm.

For all other children the fee is $10 per day.
* There is no fee for OPWDD eligible children.
Advance reservation required for all respite programs.
