The Staff Accountant will perform accounting duties for the agency, including the maintenance of various books and records following prescribed and accepted accounting principles and procedures. The Staff Accountant will align their scope of work with Jawonio’s Mission, while incorporating Jawonio’s Core Values as the guiding principle for all work activities.
Duties and Responsibilities include maintain all accounting records, preparing financial reports, maintain the agency fixed asset sub-ledger, provide backup to the payroll manager as needs, maintain the accounting records, assist in the annual budget, audit, financial reporting and cash flow analysis. Along with additional Staff Accountant task.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting /finance required. Three (3) years’ experience in healthcare accounting, with involvement in a behavioral health care provider setting preferred.
Software: Proficient with MS Office. Great Plains or similar accounting software experience preferred.

- Must be cleared and maintain acceptable record under the NYS mandated criminal background check process.
- Must be clear and maintain an acceptable record under the Medicaid Fraud & Abuse clearance process.
