Important: Please Read Important End-of the Year Information
Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones,
As we are sure many of you have seen in recent days, the upcoming tax bill will likely have a major negative impact on organizations like Jawonio that depend on your generous charitable donations. While Jawonio does not give tax advice, please see the latest article regarding the proposed Tax Reform Bill below.
To those of you who have already made your generous investment and/or pledge to our $10million dollar Jawonio “Building for Tomorrow Capital Campaign” we thank you again and again on behalf of our most vulnerable children, adults and families with Intellectual Disabilities, Mental Health Challenges, and/or chronic medical needs.
As there are only two weeks left until the end of the year, we would kindly suggest that if you it deem appropriate and are comfortable, you consult with your tax advisor or accountant to determine whether it is in yours and your families’ best financial interests to fulfill your pledge or make your anticipated 2018 gift this year before Dec 31st.
You can make your secure tax-deductible gift by clicking on https://www.jawonio.org/annual-appeal/ or you can mail a check to the:
260 N. Little Tor Road
New City, NY 10956
As you can see from the excerpt of the article that came out this week about the tax plan, many experts are recommending this strategy, anticipating that the changes that are likely to appear in the new tax law may severely limit the tax-deductibility of your future charitable contributions. Please feel free to pass along this information to your friends and family who have been made aware of Jawonio’s wonderful work for the past 70 years, so that they too can make arrangements or consider an end of the year gift to Jawonio.
Thank you so much for your time, talent, resources, energy and investment for the future of our most vulnerable infants, school-age children, adults, seniors and those with mental health challenges and chronic medical needs at Jawonio. We could not support 10,000 people annually without the support of a generous community and people like you!!
