SUMMARY
The Behavior Instructor will implement behavior plans, strategies,
and interventions within the Day Habilitation program. Perform direct
care activities for and with participants. Observe and assist participants
with behavior issues during various activities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in human services field and 2 years’ experience in
behavior management or equivalent combination of education and
experience. Experience with developmental and/or mental health
disabilities preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
 Remain current in all OPWDD and agency required trainings
 Candidates must be cleared and maintain acceptable record under
the NYS OPWDD mandated criminal background check process.
 Must be clear and maintain an acceptable record under the
Medicaid Fraud & Abuse clearance process.
 A valid NY State Driver’s License and ability to drive and driving
record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
